Blue Birds

For the last 10 years or so I have tried to attract Purple Martins with no luck.. Seems I missed the part about having to be near or around water.. So this year my focus turned to Bluebirds.. So I turned to Wild Birds Unlimited in Springboro for some direction.... They were kind enough to take the time to venture out here on a cold rainy February day and give me some hints... Well it paid off as within a week we had Bluebird sighting.. Then a nest and this Sunday we discovered 3 pretty blue eggs...

My New Supervisor

It seems like someone is always checking up on me, making sure I clean the runs properly get all the poop picked up and not forget to clean those drains.  the last 2 weeks my supervisor has been Brody he follows me on each cleaning excursion and makes sure I don't miss anything. Of course the down side is he likes to drink out of the hose... No "can I get a drink please" he just walks by and put his head in the water stream which results in both of us getting soaked... But it is his favorite thing to do that is after he has carried his bedding to the other side of the kennel.. He will be going home Saturday and I must admit I will miss his company...

Here comes the Supervisor

Practicing Stay

As we enter week 3 of our 2nd session the start line stay becomes a focus point .. You can not expect a good run if you start from a hole, so a start line stay is very important....Here Emma and Romey practice their stays....

Buns First Groom

Well the Buns are growing up which means grooming is becoming necessary... So here is the little white REW getting her first touch up. On her back ears pinned by Maureen's knees and the game is on... Just a little touch up to get them use to the process...

A little Touch up on the underside

Touch up on top as well

Wesson on the Move

We spent most of the weekend struggling with contact obstacles as Mr Wesson did not care to get near anything that required him to anything but jump... But he did manage to do well in his 16 inch open jumpers class where he finished first in a crowded competitive class where he was the only one to qualify...
